Past is but the Present

Stop the Occupation

New song I’ve been working on for the past couple weeks

World is turning
Inside each day they slave away
As the night falls
It trickles as they sleep in their grave
Green November
The harvest gave me meaning to stay
Did I have to?
The answer is the reason I stray

In the evening
Standing in the shadow alone
All around me
My brothers huddle in their new home
Put it up now
Spread the messages that need to be heard
Lift your voices
Fuck the men that seek to smother your word

I know
I know its going down
This goddamn occupation
Is making me drown this Crown

Is it morning?
The people shy away from the light
Bright November
The darkness drowns the din of their plight
In the jungle
Sitting comfortably on their leather thrones
In the distance
Thousands struggle to put meat on their bones

Are you able
To recognize the sins of our kind?
Will freedom be worth the expense
of our children’s peace of mind?

Sorrow is all that you knew
Watching and waiting for truth
Stop your hoping for miracles to save you
You have a voice too
