Past is but the Present

The Wind

New ending to the song

Alone he walks the road
Some time before the wind comes, he cries
To the heavens.
They say that the evil is gone
But that’s a lie, the devil’s around us
All around us.

The wind has come
The wind has come at last
But what will it bring?

The story has begun
The worst has only yet to unfold now
But when will it end?
The ocean parts again
The panicked fleeing masses engulf us
All is chaos

The wind has come
The wind has come at last
But what will it bring?
Those who walk the path
How do they know the right one was chosen?
And how could we know?

Governments fall
The people will rise up.
A new age begins
As freedom is no more.
The end of it all
Is just the beginning
But while we’ve made the mistake
Have we really learned?

A child lost in time
The flourescence of the hailstones astounds him
Shelter he seeks
The road was walked alone
But a thousand vigilantes patrol now
The danger is steep

The wind has come
The wind has come at last
But what will it bring?

Day after day the adaptions that mankind are making
Are collecting the pieces of a former-lived life off the ground
A few of these pieces of glass that have dropped have been shattered
But we must all start anew if we want a new life to be found

The militant might will empower the strong and the wealthy
The age of the chorus of freedom has come to an end
The people are once again safe and secure in their homesteads
The concept of freedom their children will not comprehend

The darkness settles in
By candlelight the whole world is watching
And waiting…
It rises in the east
A new nation of the people empowered
Will peace be wrought?

The wind has come
The wind has come at last
But what will it bring?
This war has altered all
Our fealty and vehemence cursed us, but
We will carry on
